Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key member of Vendidit’s sales team, responsible for generating qualified leads and creating new business opportunities for our senior sales representatives. This role involves proactive outreach through cold calls and emails, managing the early stages of the sales pipeline, and ensuring high-quality handoffs to the senior sales team.

The ideal candidate is confident, driven, and not discouraged by rejection. This is a fast-paced, metrics-driven role that requires a self-starter with strong communication skills, experience using CRM platforms, and a willingness to go above and beyond to hit and exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct cold calls, cold emails, and other forms of outreach to generate leads and schedule meetings for senior sales reps.
  • Appointment Setting: Qualify leads and schedule discovery calls, ensuring strong alignment between prospects and Vendidit’s services.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, leads, and progress using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and manage a consistent pipeline of prospective clients within targeted industries and segments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior sales reps and marketing to refine outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.
  • AI Utilization: Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency while understanding their limitations and maintaining a personalized approach.
  • Resilience: Embrace rejection as part of the process and maintain a positive, persistent attitude in pursuit of targets.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sales Development Representative or similar outbound sales role.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and sending cold emails.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.
  • Located in Austin, Texas and available to work onsite 5 days per week.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a high-performance environment.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to meet and exceed goals.
  • Comfort with using AI tools to enhance workflow while maintaining human judgment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in reverse logistics, third-party logistics (3PLs), or e-commerce logistics industries.
  • Familiarity with startup or high-growth environments.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $50,000, with On-Target Earnings (OTE) up to $85,000+, depending on performance.
  • Performance-based bonus structure, with incentives based on:
    • Qualified meetings booked with senior sales reps
    • Additional bonuses for meetings that convert into paying clients
  • Health care insurance included as part of the employee benefits package.
