Job summary

Danfoss Drives in Houston seeks a Sales Development Manager to expand our presence in data center and electrification markets. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with customers, and work with application engineers and product specialists to align needs with our power conversion solutions.

In this high-visibility role, you’ll manage a sales pipeline, influence strategic projects, and represent Danfoss at industry events.

Qualifications

The Impact You'll Make

As our new Sales Development Manager, you will help expand Danfoss’ presence in one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy industry: the data center and electrification market. Through the relationships you build and the opportunities you develop, you’ll connect customers with industry-leading power conversion solutions that support a more efficient and sustainable future.

In this highly visible role, you’ll identify new business opportunities, influence strategic projects, and collaborate with technical experts to bring innovative solutions to market. Your work will directly contribute to Danfoss’ growth while helping customers solve complex energy challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within the data center, power generation, and electrification markets, building relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.
• Develop and execute customer engagement strategies that position Danfoss as a preferred partner for advanced power conversion solutions.
• Collaborate with application engineers, product specialists, and technical experts to align customer needs with the right products and solutions.
• Manage a sales pipeline, maintain CRM activity, and provide regular updates on opportunities, forecasts, and customer engagement efforts.
• Represent Danfoss at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings while collaborating with distributors and internal teams to expand market reach.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, and experience in outside sales within the power generation, power conversion, electrical infrastructure, data center, or related industrial markets, experience with variable frequency drive is preferred. Significant experience in sales within the vfd and power generation market will also be considered.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems, power conversion technologies, or energy infrastructure.
• Experience managing customer relationships, sales opportunities, and forecasts using a CRM platform.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, combined with a self-driven and entrepreneurial approach to developing new business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
