Job description

Belden Architectural Elements seeks a full-time, energetic, and outgoing person to join the sales team at its Grand Rapids location. This person should have basic salesmanship abilities as well as skills in design to further assist clients. In addition to the specifics below, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, willing to learn, and be part of a great team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the company by building product knowledge, relationships, and engagement with architects, designers, contractors, and owners.
• Guide customers through product selection and purchase by introducing options, reviewing choices, and following through to completion.
• Coordinate and maintain Design Studio materials and workspace.
• Apply design knowledge and experience to project consultations, sketch development, and client presentations.

Primary Qualifications:

• Understand the sales process and the principles of delivering high-quality customer service to support the company’s growth.
• A degree in interior design or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time effectively, maintain detailed notes, and stay organized.
• Be a people-oriented person, with analytical skills, a self-starter capable of accomplishing tasks and achieving goals within deadlines established.
• Be proficient with computer systems i.e. Office 365, design software, a plus.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.

Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Offered:

• Starting annual pay range, $55-65K, determined based on experience and skills.
