Job summary

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) seeks a Sales Data Senior Associate to turn data into strategic sales insights for the US Intermediary team. You will synthesize industry and product data to guide advisor targeting, campaigns, and distribution outcomes.

You’ll partner with leadership to shape priorities, using AI to deliver actionable ideas and translate complex data into clear, executive-ready narratives for multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3–5 years in asset management or financial services distribution
• Ability to translate insights to intermediary sales teams and drive growth
• Knowledge of Mutual Funds, SMAs, ETFs, and other investments
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to boost productivity
• Excellent presentation and communication; ability to present to stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau/Power BI/SQL
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Senior Associate level experience; independent ownership of analyses
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; interpret large datasets
• Ability to tell compelling data-driven narratives

Responsibilities

• Transform data into insight to support US Intermediary sales teams
• Lead analytical initiatives across fund types (Mutual Funds, SMAs, ETFs, alternatives)
• Uncover sales opportunities through rigorous analysis and clear recommendations
• Identify growth opportunities by analyzing advisor behavior and trends
• Partner with Sales and Senior Leadership to shape distribution priorities
• Use AI to deliver insights and connect data to advisor behavior and product demand
• Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights for sales teams and leadership
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, and Data Reporting teams
