Overview

Full Time: 8:30 PM - 5:00 PM / Monday - Friday

Location: Independent Living and Assisted Living

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for working with prospects and leads to establish relationships and to manage the sales process. Your goal will be to develop these leads into tours, and ultimately to obtain and maintain occupancy and the community’s sales goals. The Sales Counselor will also be responsible for assisting with internal and external marketing efforts and programs, as well as assisting in obtaining goals and objectives of the community’s marketing plan.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
  • Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing in implementation of the Marketing Action Plan.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of special events held to generate leads and prospects.
  • Assist in compiling comparative analysis of competitive communities.
  • Maintain good working relationships within the industry to increase awareness of trends.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all departments at the community with a focus on customer service and public relations.
  • Respond to inquiries and leads in a prompt and professional manner utilizing sales skills and strategies while maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop a plan for follow-up for prospects and contacts to keep the sales process moving forward.
  • Compile and maintain accurate files and records and complete all necessary paperwork on all prospects and leads and referral sources as necessary. Assist in maintaining all records and documents in an orderly fashion.
  • Input data to CRM to document all sales efforts and to track prospects through the sales process.
  • Take responsibility for each prospect assigned from initial inquiry through the final decision and identify steps needed to overcome objections and guide the sales process.
  • Conduct discovery for prospects and contacts, identify the decision makers and obstacles, qualify, establish a timeline and develop a sales plan for each prospect to achieve positive results.
  • Attain weekly sales and marketing productivity standards as established.
  • Maintain appropriate relationship with new residents to assure successful transition.
  • Complete all required documentation for closing and move-in and contracts and assist in providing the assessment and move-in policy and procedures.
  • Notify Executive Director and management team at the close of a sale and notify all Managers of move-in dates.
  • Respond to all inquiries, complaints, and comments in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally on the telephone and in person.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, such as creating sales strategies or working directly with residents to customize plans and negotiate contracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in marketing, sales, or a related business field

3+ years of sales experience; preferably in the senior living industry
