Job summary

Triangle Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to assist the sales team in achieving targets through coordinated sales and marketing activities and a strong focus on customer service within the Quality Management System.

The role involves supporting strategy development, tracking budgets, preparing quotes, attending BRT meetings, and coordinating tradeshow participation while ensuring compliance with policies and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a four-year college or university and 3 years related experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong collaboration and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of sales strategies through research of current customers and targeted prospects.
  • Assist with tracking budget vs. actual sales figures from POs and forecasts.
  • Prepare quotations and maintain quote database; generate activity and trend reports for management.
  • Attend weekly Business Review Team meetings; update the sales opportunities and projects spreadsheet.
  • Support manufacturing groups with customer needs, confirm price/delivery changes, and manage customer concerns to resolution.
  • Coordinate Non-Disclosure, Supplier and Quality Agreements and ensure timely submission.
  • Develop and conduct customer satisfaction surveys and monitor feedback and performance metrics for Quality Team.
  • Coordinate company tradeshow participation and visits with agendas, travel, and logistics.
  • Manage inventory of marketing collateral and promotional items; assist in new materials per branding.
  • Support onboarding activities, RFQ tracking, and cross-functional coordination from quotation through production launch.

Job description

Summary

Contribute to the achievement of the company's sales targets by supporting the sales team, coordinating and tracking sales and marketing activities, and championing customer service in adherence to the Quality Management System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development of effective sales strategies through researched assessments of current customers and targeted prospects.
  • Assist with tracking the budget vs. actual sales figures from purchase orders and forecasts received from customers.
  • Participate in the Quote Meeting, ensuring the timely submission of professionally and accurately prepared quotations and maintaining the integrity of the quote database. Prepare activity and trend reports for management as needed.
  • Attend weekly Business Review Team (BRT) meetings, update the activities spreadsheet related to sales opportunities and projects, and follow up with responsible parties to ensure action items are completed.
  • Support the manufacturing groups with any customer-related needs, confirming price or delivery changes and handling of customer concerns, etc., ensuring escalated issues are managed through to resolution.
  • Track the receipt and completion of Non-Disclosure, Supplier and/or Quality Agreements, communicating with associates and customer representatives to ensure the accuracy of the information and timely submission.
  • Develop and conduct customer satisfaction surveys, monitor customer feedback and performance metrics, and prepare reports and trend analyses for the Quality Team and management.
  • Assist with the coordination of all aspects of the company’s tradeshow participation, attending specific shows as required.
  • Coordinate customer and prospect visits, preparing agendas and materials, travel arrangements, catering requests, and company notifications as needed.
  • Manage the inventory of marketing collateral and promotional items, supporting the development and procurement of new materials that adhere to company branding requirements.
  • Support customer onboarding activities, RFQ tracking, and cross-functional coordination of new business opportunities from quotation through production launch.
  • Understand and comply with company policies, safety guidelines, quality system procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three years of related experience, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
