Your tasks

General Summary

The position of Sales Consultant is part of the ARISE Inc. business unit, whose mission is to supply superior service to our client base in the areas of Shop Inspection activity, Jurisdictional Inspection Services, and Risk Analysis activity.

The main focus of this position is to support our ambition of becoming the leading provider of Boiler & Machinery Jurisdictional & Risk Engineering Services. The main objective is the identification, cultivation, and development of new and existing business channels, as well as pursuing large direct client relationships. A strong working knowledge of the ARISE Inc. business model and office process is required.

The Sales Consultant responsibilities include participating in strategic planning with the ARISE President and Treasurer. The Sales Consultant will partner with ARISE operations (administrative and engineering) for specialized client service planning/programs. The personal account portfolio shall be maintained with the eventual transition of designated clients or channels to ARISE Account Managers.

This position is home-based and requires a high degree of self-motivation. Travel can be intensive during peak demand periods, averaging approximately 30%-40% for client and staff meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing new business channels in consultation with the ARISE President, with support from the Account Management team.
  • Creating a detailed Sales & Marketing Plan to generate new business.
  • Identifying and qualifying target clients/channels for new business development.
  • Conducting marketing visits to develop new clients.
  • Responding to RFPs and opportunities to quote.
  • Collaborating with office/field managers on non-standard service requests to ensure delivery capability.
  • Communicating non-standard servicing procedures to staff for implementation.
  • Providing clients and channels with ARISE resources to maintain a client retention rate of over 95%.
  • Working with the Account Manager and Quoting Specialist to promote account profitability and resource efficiency.
  • Participating in marketing functions, trade shows, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Interfacing with the TUV SUD GRC Channel on jurisdictional business opportunities.
  • Understanding all services offered by ARISE, TUV SUD GRC, and TUV SUD America.
  • Participating in regional meetings and serving as a backup for team members when needed.
Your qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Special certifications such as National Board Commission and Certificate of Competency for inspecting boilers and pressure vessels.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and electronic reporting tools.
