Job Overview:

As the Manager of Sales Compensation, you will be responsible for all aspects of Global Sales Compensation, partnering and liaising closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Finance, and Human Resources. This highly visible role leads a team of Sales Compensation Analysts, supporting the administration of Sales Compensation programs across Spirent. This role is critical to our sales compensation programs, which align with our business objectives and drive performance across our sales organization.

With a deep understanding of sales processes and financial analysis, you will lead and manage sales operations activities, implementing, managing, and ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of global sales compensation plans, with a focus on continuous improvement and interdepartmental collaboration.

While this role is posted and open to remote work, the preference is for a hybrid work arrangement from our Frederick, Maryland office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a fast-paced Sales Commissions team, providing mentoring, coaching, and development as required.
  • Bring the best practice processes to ensure the efficiency and productivity of all Sales Commissions.
  • Administer compensation plans and create/update login in the Xactly Incent Commission Software.
  • Work with business partners and Sales Administration to obtain crucial data for processing and ensure proper sales assignment.
  • Collaboration with business unit Finance Directors supporting information reporting, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Payroll to meet deadlines and track new hires/terms.
  • Distribute individual Compensation Plans within Xactly DOCS.
  • Calculate sales commissions according to the sales compensation plan policy, ensuring commissions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide regular reports for Sales and Finance on plan performance, commissions, and attainments.
  • Produce ad-hoc analytic reports in Xactly.
  • Answer and resolve commission questions and issues from the global sales team.
  • Working with business unit FDs to support their information reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience in Sales Compensation.
  • Previous team leader and/or people management experience.
  • Experience leads to a thorough understanding of Xactly Incentive Commission Software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of data entry processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
