Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau Service Corporation seeks a Sales Commission System Specialist to administer the CORE commission system, ensure accurate data imports/exports, and support monthly processing and reporting for agents and agencies.

The role collaborates with Sales Analytics and HR to model incentive plans, validate data, and implement system enhancements while providing guidance and training across the Sales team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the CORE Commission System and ensure timely, accurate data flows, calculations, and reporting.
• Maintain agent and agency records and hierarchy within CORE per HR/payroll and data services.
• Oversee month-end commission processing and publish outputs by deadlines.
• Serve as primary point of contact for agent/agency questions about CORE.
• Support Sales Analytics with data queries, reporting needs, and analysis.
• Identify and recommend system improvement opportunities for review.
• Train users on CORE Commission System and participate in system enhancements.
• Represent Sales on cross-department initiatives and committees.

Sr Sales Analytics Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Commission System Specialist is responsible for the daily and monthly administration accuracy and ongoing maintenance of the CORE commission system Key responsibilities include monitoring data imports and exports validating commission data against upstream systems and feeds maintaining agent and agency records and hierarchy and overseeing month end commission processing calculations and publishing within required timelines This position serves as the primary point of contact for agent and agency questions related to commission system data and functionality documents processes and procedures tests system changes and new functionality and partners with Sales Analytics and Sales Management to model implement and monitor commission bonus and incentive plan updates The role also provides administrative and reporting support to the Sales Department and Regional Sales Managers as needed

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Maintain the CORE Commission System and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure data flows calculations and reporting are timely and accurate
• Maintain agent and agency records and hierarchy within the CORE system in alignment with HRpayroll and Data ServicesODS tables and systems
• Oversee validate and publish month end commission processing and output including coordination with Brokerage Accounting Human Resources and Sales Management to meet applicable requirements and deadlines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for agent and agency questions related to the CORE Commission System
• Support Sales Management and Sales Analytics with commission related data queries reporting needs research and analysis
• Identify and recommend system improvement opportunities for review and consideration
• Support the design testing and implementation of enhancements new reports screens and functionality in the CORE Commission System
• Represent the Sales Department on cross departmental committees and system related initiatives
• Conduct CORE Commission System training for new agents and other users as needed

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Attend offsite department events and meetings with travel up to 10
• Assist Sales Management with preparing reports and presentations
• Provide general departmental administrative support in coordination with the Sales Administrative Coordinator

MINIMUM EDUCATION

College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience with sales commission processing compensation administration payroll accounting or sales operations a plusExperience validating reconciling or maintaining data across multiple business systems

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using reporting or analytical tools
• Strong analytical problem solving and data validation skills
• High degree of accuracy organization and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain system data and processes clearly
• Professional service oriented approach when supporting agents agencies and internal stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to document processes and procedures clearly and consistently
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and manage recurring monthly processing cycles
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll compensation and commission information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with a Commission System or similar compensation payroll or sales operations platformStrong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas pivot tables lookups and data reconciliation techniquesExperience supporting system enhancements user acceptance testing reporting improvements or process automationInsurance industry experience or familiarity with agent and agency hierarchy structures
