THE JOB

Live Nation Entertainment's Media & Sponsorship Division seeks a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Commission Analyst to support the administration and execution of the division's sales commission function. This role is responsible for reporting, administering, reconciling, and analyzing sales compensation across the division. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Sales Systems Operations, and HR, this person will translate approved compensation plans into operational processes, maintain accurate commission data, execute adjustments, and provide timely reporting and analysis to support the business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with complex data, and able to manage recurring deadlines and high-stakes financial calculations with a high degree of accuracy.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Administer approved annual sales compensation plans, implementing plan structures, rates, splits, advances, draws, and reconciliation schedules within the commission platform. Maintain commission plan configurations within the platform, including formula updates, seller onboarding/offboarding, testing, and ongoing administrative changes based on approved plan decisions. Execute commission administration including seller and manager access, approval tracking, dispute resolution, and updates to earnings information throughout the year. Execute Salesforce data adjustments required for accurate commission calculations, including overrides, exceptions, splits, Regional Multi-Year Bonus qualifications, deal prorations, Division AOI and Teams Goals tracking, and bi-weekly data quality checks. Perform quarterly and annual commission reconciliations to validate calculations, identify discrepancies, and support accurate and timely payments. Produce bi-weekly executive scorecards and compensation reports summarizing sales performance, commissions, and payment obligations. Analyze historical compensation and sales data to identify trends, variances, data issues, and opportunities for improved reporting and accuracy. Support annual budget reporting and forecasting by providing commission data, historical trends, and analysis to Finance and Sales leadership. Maintain commission dashboards and reporting by combining data from Salesforce, the commission platform, and other business systems. Support scenario analysis and modeling to help Sales and Finance understand the potential compensation impact of business and performance changes. Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for commission calculations, payments, adjustments, advances, and exceptions. Coordinate with third-party commission platform vendors on system issues, licensing, renewals, and user administration, escalating issues as needed. Respond to seller and manager questions regarding commission calculations, payments, reporting, and platform functionality, resolving issues or coordinating with the appropriate team. Maintain field guides, training materials, and communications related to commission processes, deadlines, payment timelines, and system updates. Identify and support process improvements, including opportunities for automation, improved reporting, and use of AI tools to increase accuracy and reduce manual effort.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field with 2–5 years of experience in sales compensation, financial analysis, sales operations, HR analytics, or a related analytical function. Experience administering or supporting a sales commission process, preferably within a commission management platform such as CIQ, Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or comparable system. Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reconciliation, and the ability to analyze complex payout calculations. Experience working with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, with an understanding of how CRM data flows into downstream reporting and commission calculations. Experience with BI and reporting tools and the ability to build and maintain management-facing reports and dashboards. Understanding of sales compensation concepts including commissions, draws, advances, splits, multi-year deals, prorations, exceptions, and reconciliations. Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy when working with confidential compensation and financial information. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles, payment deadlines, and multiple requests simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify the underlying cause of data or calculation issues. Clear communication skills and the ability to explain compensation calculations and reporting results to sellers, managers, and cross-functional partners. Ability to work effectively in a process-driven, deadline-oriented environment and build structure and documentation around evolving operational processes.
