Job summary

Triumph Group in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager to drive strategic OEM sales initiatives across commercial and military aerospace sectors.

You will manage key customer relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and serve as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in aerospace OEM sales, proven experience selling aerospace components, and the ability to travel 40–50%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of aerospace OEM sales/business development experience.
  • Experience selling aerospace accessories, electromechanical products, avionics, or aircraft components.
  • Knowledge of commercial and military aerospace procurement.
  • Experience negotiating large contracts.
  • Ability to travel 40–50%.
  • Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge on aerospace accessories, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fuel systems, vapor cycle and environmental control systems, actuators, sensors preferred.

  • Coordinate with Product Line Directors, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Finance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity; develop forecasts and sales pipelines.
  • Represent the company at customer sites and industry events.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and export requirements.

Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Companys key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $89,000 - 134,000/annual - based on skills and experience

Position Summary
The Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to grow OEM business with major commercial and military airframers, engine manufacturers, and Tier 1 aerospace suppliers. This position manages key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates long-term agreements, and serves as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal engineering, operations, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience selling aerospace accessories, components, or systems into OEM platforms and has established relationships within major aerospace manufacturers and the new market disruptors with UAV and AAM.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned OEM customers.
