Job summary

Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager to grow OEM business with major commercial and military airframers, engine manufacturers, and Tier 1 suppliers.

You will manage key customer relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and serve as the primary commercial interface with internal engineering, operations, and leadership. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), 10+ years in aerospace OEM sales, and travel 40–50%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of aerospace OEM sales/business development experience.
  • Experience selling aerospace accessories, electromechanical products, avionics, or aircraft components.
  • Knowledge of commercial and military aerospace procurement.
  • Experience negotiating large contracts.
  • Willingness to travel 40–50%.
  • Knowledge of aerospace accessories, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fuel systems, vapor cycle and environmental control systems, actuators, sensors preferred.

  • Lead pricing, contract, and long-term agreement negotiations.
  • Coordinate with Product Line Directors, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity.
  • Develop forecasts and sales pipeline reports.
  • Represent the company at customer sites and industry events.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and export requirements.

Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position Summary

The Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to grow OEM business with major commercial and military airframers, engine manufacturers, and Tier 1 aerospace suppliers. This position manages key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates long-term agreements, and serves as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal engineering, operations, and executive leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of aerospace OEM sales/business development experience, preferred.
