Job summary

UEC in Madison, WI is seeking a driven sales role trainee who will learn and perform our sales steps through training and observation, develop prospecting and cold-calling skills, and shadow experienced reps with some travel.

You will assist senior reps in sourcing, securing, and managing business, attend meetings, maintain relationships with existing accounts, and actively build a funnel for your post-training assignment while continuing to develop through our publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in sales, marketing, business, communications, packaging, economics, or related fields.
• Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High motivation to learn and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Prior experience using a CRM such as Salesforce preferred.
• Sales internship or selling experience.
• Reliable transportation to travel within the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform RRD's sales steps through training and observation.
• Develop skills in prospecting and cold calling to build new accounts.
• Shadow sales representatives with some travel required.
• Assist senior sales representatives in sourcing, securing, and managing business.
• Attend internal and external sales meetings.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and customers.
• Build a sales funnel specific to your post-training assignment.
• Engage in continued development through marketing and sales publications.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
