The University of Alabama is seeking a Supervisor Sales Associate to oversee cashier operations in their Supply Store. This role involves managing customer transactions, providing assistance, and merchandising convenience items effectively. Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some weekends and extended hours
Job Summary:The Supervisor Sales Associate plans, directs, and supervises the cashier operation at all locations. Uses the computerized management system for processing customers through P.O.S. Assists customers with questions. Assists with merchandising the convenience item area of the store. Answers all cashiers' questions as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and four (4) years or customer service or retail experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years or customer service or retail experience; OR bachelor's degree and some customer service or retail experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Extensive customer service experience and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position. Experience with software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
