Position Description

As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be the front line in our relationship with our customer. Throughout your shift, you will be responsible for cashing out customers, assisting customers through the self-checkout process, and performing various tasks to ensure the store is well kept, fully stocked, and ready to satisfy every customer. You will also be responsible for properly monitoring and completing age-restricted sales.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Greet all customers promptly and professionally
• Multitask effectively and manage time efficiently
• Operate cash register, accept payments, make change, and maintain cash levels; properly close registers
• Maintain coffee bar, ensure coffee is full and hot
• Stock and maintain product levels, and improve store appearance
• Keep the register area clean and organized
• Complete shift tasks and adapt to additional responsibilities as needed
• Perform property maintenance (e.g., sweeping, weeding, shoveling, salting)
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness
• Operate lottery terminal
• Ensure store reports are printed and filed properly
• Prepare for busy times like morning coffee and lunch rushes
