Position Description

As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be the front line in our relationship with our customer. Throughout your shift, you will be responsible for cashing out customers, assisting customers through the self-checkout process, and performing various tasks to ensure the store is well kept, fully stocked, and ready to satisfy every customer. You will also be responsible for properly monitoring and completing age-restricted sales.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Greet all customers promptly and professionally
• Multitask and manage time effectively
• Operate cash register, accept payments, make change, and maintain proper cash levels; learn to close the register properly
• Maintain coffee station: keep coffee full and hot, keep the area clean
• Stock and maintain product levels, rotate stock for freshness
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness
• Complete shift tasks and unexpected duties as assigned by management
• Perform property maintenance (sweeping, weeding, shoveling, salting)
• Operate lottery terminal
• Ensure store close reports are printed and filed
• Prepare for busy periods like morning coffee/breakfast and lunch/afternoon rushes
