Job description

To be considered for this role, candidates must reside in or be willing to commute to: Baton Rouge, LA, Gonzales, LA, Zachary, LA.

This is a remote position; candidates must be comfortable traveling to each of these city and store locations.

This position requires driving your personal vehicle approximately 55 miles per day within your assigned territory. Mileage may vary depending on your residence relative to the territory. No car allowance is provided; however, mileage will be reimbursed at 62 cents per mile.

Position Overview: A Part-Time role as a Territory Sales Associate (TSA) offers a relationship-oriented individual the opportunity to showcase their sales skills while representing major brands. Responsibilities include selling and ensuring the display and distribution of top products, building displays, and replenishing secondary displays.

Work Schedule:

This is considered a “Continuous Part-Time” role, working 20-25 hours weekly. Typically, a TSA visits 6-10+ accounts daily. The schedule is flexible, aligned with store hours and key decision-maker availability, generally overlapping with core hours from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Compensation: Starting hourly rate is $15.50 - $16.50, depending on experience, skills, and location.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain 100% distribution of authorized Hershey products in the assigned territory, executing retail plans effectively.
• Achieve merchandising objectives using displays and other tools outlined in the Retail Execution Plan.
• Report weekly activities, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative tasks within the territory.
• Use tablets to report daily activities, submitting updates upon daily completion.
• Manage a sales territory, with size and location varying.

Job Requirements:

• Valid US driver’s license
• Personal vehicle in good operating condition
• Auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person, $100,000 per accident, and $100,000 property damage, permitting business use
• Willingness to reside or commute within the specified territory
• Ability to drive long distances and make multiple daily sales calls
• Capability to lift 10-40 lbs. regularly, with or without accommodations
• Manual dexterity and physical ability to bend, kneel, and stoop frequently
• Comfort with tablet technology
• Daily access to wireless internet
• Flexibility to adapt to territory changes
• Availability for 20-25 hours weekly

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
