Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Lemoore, CA is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to support retail operations on base. The role focuses on assisting military patrons and their families, handling cash, and promoting store events and promotions.

No experience required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. The position offers a federal wage and benefits, with hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Previous Retail Experience preferred but not required.
• Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Proactively engages, connects and listens to customers by asking questions to determine customers’ needs.
• Directing customers to merchandise; informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions all while providing premier customer service.
• Maintains store appearance.
• Using a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards (cash handling) including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.
