The Sales Associate supports the Account Executives within their region and prepares and/or performs sales presentations, promotions, trade shows, seminars, and various sales-related duties necessary to achieve maximum sales.

Position Information

This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the regional sales executive director.

Compensation

Base pay is anticipated to be between $69,886 and $80,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Location

In this US-based position, your location will be remote in your home office. To be considered, you must reside in the Sacramento Area.

Travel

You can also expect up to approximately 50% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Attend conferences, required trainings, conference calls, and webinars.
  • Prepare presentations and correspondence, produce finished documents, and distribute correspondence.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, at least 3 days/week with some overnight travel.
  • Generate sales reports and submit to the Account Executive.
  • Utilize all available resources to reach prospects and convert them into customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in the territory.
  • Attend industry trade shows to generate new leads and engage with existing clients.
  • Update client information in the contact database.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Generate leads.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
  • Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Give sales presentations live and via virtual meetings (Zoom).
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understand and promote company programs.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts.
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Management (CSM).
  • Answer client questions about products, prices, and implementations.
  • Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or education-related field, and at least 2 years’ related experience, preferably in Education/Educational Technology industry; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Strong business orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to interface effectively with decision-makers at all levels to provide superior customer service.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed, and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 50%), including overnight and weekend travel as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; working knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
  • Proficiency in online meeting applications such as Zoom.
  • Fingerprint Clearance may be required; must be able to obtain clearance if needed.
