Job summary

The UPS Store #1407 in Brookhaven, GA is seeking a Center Associate to deliver world-class customer service, receive and process packages, and operate copiers, printers, and POS devices. The ideal candidate has retail experience, strong computer skills, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to learn all aspects of the business.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to type accurately, and a commitment to reliability.

Qualifications

• Retail/customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
• Must be prompt, reliable and responsible.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Non-smoking environment.
• Able to work collaboratively.
• Must be able to type fast and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
• Communicates effectively and practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership.
• Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality control.
• Performs other duties as required.
• May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting.
• Helps customers with boxing and packaging and recommends appropriate shipping materials.
• Must enjoy working with all people.
• Adhere to schedule: 8:15am start on weekdays, 9:15am Saturday; can work late as required.
• Sunday hours may be required on a rotating basis.
• Cleaning and trash disposal duties on a rotating basis.
