Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is launching an Associate Development Program in Madison Heights, MI for February 2027 cohort. This full-time, entry-level role provides four months of comprehensive sales training and hands-on experience in prospecting, cold calling, and managing accounts.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, possess strong communication and listening skills, and are motivated to learn and succeed in sales. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in sales, marketing, business, communications, packaging, economics, or related fields with an interest in sales.
• Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High motivation to learn, make data-driven decisions and explain ROIs.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Driven and motivated to succeed in sales.
• CRM experience (Salesforce) preferred.
• Sales internship or experience selling.
• Reliable transportation to visit clients within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform RRD's sales steps through training and observation.
• Learn and execute prospecting and cold calling to build new accounts.
• Shadow sales representatives (some travel required).
• Assist senior sales representatives in sourcing, securing and managing business, both new and existing.
• Attend internal and external sales meetings.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and customers.
• Build a sales funnel for your post-training assignment.
• Continued development opportunities through marketing and sales publications to increase understanding of the sales industry.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
