Job summary

Home Surplus, a cabinet and door superstore, seeks a Sales Associate at our Keyport, NJ location. You will help customers locate products and ensure an excellent, end-to-end shopping experience, with opportunities to grow toward design or management roles.

You’ll learn cabinets, doors, and countertops, engage positively with customers, and collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and maintain an organized showroom.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sales experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Computer skills, including email and basic data entry.
• POS experience preferred.
• Available to work some Saturdays (retail hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, help them find what they need, and answer their questions.
• Learn our products, including cabinets, doors, and countertops.
• Listen to customers' needs and recommend the best solutions.
• Follow up with customers by phone, text, and email.
• Make sure orders are accurate and work with the team to fulfill them.
• Keep the showroom looking great by organizing displays.
• Share customer feedback to help us improve.
• Work as a team to give every customer a great experience.
