Job summary

Metric Bio seeks a Medical Sales Associate to cover an active territory including South Bend, IN and Kalamazoo/Battle Creek, MI. This is an entry-level, developmental role with a clear path toward ownership as you prove yourself.

You will receive hands-on training in the field and in the OR, and you will report to the District Sales Manager. A strong work ethic and coachability are essential as you start building a medical device sales foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time.
• Demonstrated success in a prior sales role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

The Medical Sales Associate is a once in a lifetime entry-level, developmental role across an active territory covering South Bend, IN, and Kalamazoo/Battle Creek, MI.

This role is built for high-performing individuals - including former collegiate (D1) athletes - who bring a proven track record of competitiveness, coachability, and discipline, but may not yet have direct medical device or clinical sales experience.

The Associate will receive structured, hands-on training in the field and in the OR, with a defined path toward full territory ownership as competency and results are demonstrated.

This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager (DSM).

Essential Functions

• Supports the DSM with case coverage, account servicing, and lead follow-up across the territory
• Shadows OR cases and clinical work to build foundational product and programming knowledge
• Assists in prospecting and identifying new business opportunities within the territory
• Helps build and maintain relationships with physicians, decision makers, and clinical staff
• Represents the company professionally at territory events, with patient outcomes held in the highest regard

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record per company policy, and active vehicle insurance policy.
• Adheres to company policies and conducts all business in an ethical manner.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, dependent on territory geography.
• Demonstrated success in a previous sales role, indicating a high level of sales performance.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work routine to meet region requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses high empathy and compassion for patients.
