Job summary

Slumberland Furniture is seeking a results‑driven Sales Associate to join our Minnesota store. You will engage customers, demonstrate products, and drive sales while delivering an excellent shopping experience.

This full‑time role offers a strong commission structure with a guaranteed minimum, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth. Weekend/evening shifts are required and performance is recognized with potential six‑figure earnings.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education preferred.
• General working knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS system.
• Self‑starter motivated to succeed and meet performance objectives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers using effective communication to drive sales.
• Become a subject‑matter expert on products and services and meet sales objectives.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and handle difficult situations gracefully.
• Balance store transactions and assist with payments and refunds as needed.

Sales Associate Job Duties

• Utilize effective communication techniques to engage, build rapport, inform, persuade, and entertain customers to assist in driving sales.
• Become a subject‑matter expert on the products and services offered, practice selling strategies, and achieve sales objectives set by the leadership team.
• Passionate about customer experience with the ability to manage difficult situations and cultivate loyalty and satisfaction through exceptional service and support.
• Participate in balancing the store's daily financial transactions, validate and remedy customers' accounts by processing payments and refunds.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education preferred
• General working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Points of Sale System
• Ability to act as a self‑starter who is motivated to succeed and reach performance objectives
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills to engage with staff, customers, and vendors
