Avolta at LaGuardia Airport is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and support store operations. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, and handle transactions at the cash register while keeping the area organized.

The role requires flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, and a full-time schedule. You will work on-site at LaGuardia Airport with opportunities for career growth and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers professionally.

• Be familiar with store layout to guide product selection.
• Operate a cash register and handle transactions.
• Follow all policies, cash handling procedures and loss prevention rules.
• Report pricing, stock and inventory issues to management.
• Protect company assets and organize stock in stores/backrooms.
• Sort damaged/ outdated products and inform management.
• Maintain a neat and clean store environment including cleaning duties.
• Place stock orders, receive freight and unload shipments.
• Provide ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor.
• Assist in inventory and reconciliation of variances.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Sales Associate Key Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet customers
• Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and store management
• Know basic store layout to assist customers in their selection of product and be able to answer customer questions about the entire store
• Effectively operate a cash register
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies, and special store loss prevention procedures
• Communicate pricing, out of date and inventory issues with management
• Protect all company assets, stock merchandise in stores and backrooms
• Isolate, sort, and organize all damaged and outdated products and returns and inform management of any out-of-stock situations
• Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store, which includes sweeping, dusting, straightening of merchandise, and trash removal
• Places stock orders, receive freight, load, and unload trucks
• Provides ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor
• Assists in inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances
• Perform related work as assigned
