Job summary

Black River Outdoors in Hattiesburg, MS is hiring a Sales Associate to help customers find the right outdoor equipment and trailers, provide product knowledge, and process transactions. You will be part of a friendly team and participate in training to improve sales strategies and customer support.

The role involves light assembly and stock duties, maintaining an organized sales floor, and staying current with product knowledge. Weekend availability is preferred to support store hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Tech-savvy; experience with DMS, CRM, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting products to fit their needs.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Perform assembly, relocation, and minor repairs on trailers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and inventory.
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting a unit that best fits their needs
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to the continuous improvement of strategies and practices.
• Perform assembly, relocation, and minor repairs on trailers as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Maintain accurate and up to date reports.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor information.
• Provide product knowledgeable, recommendations and support to enhance customer experience.
• Maintain an organized and inviting sales floor.
• Process transactions and manage inventory efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
