Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Austin, TX. The Sales Associate will greet and assist showroom visitors, guide customers through product options, and provide recommendations on tile, stone, granite, and marble solutions for residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating with fabrication and installation teams, and maintaining accurate product and pricing information. The role involves learning product lines in detail, supporting sample requests, updating displays, and ensuring a professional, welcoming showroom environment. The Sales Associate will also handle follow-up communication with clients, track project progress, and contribute to achieving sales goals while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a college with focus on Interior Design or experience with tile, stone with the ability to read plans and elevations.


• Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand client needs, and close sales.


• Product knowledge and technical aptitude related to tile, stone, granite, and marble, or willingness to learn these materials in depth.


• Organization and attention to detail for managing quotes, orders, documentation, and follow-up activities.


• Communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, designers, contractors, and internal teams.


• Basic math and measurement skills for estimating material quantities and interpreting project specifications.


• Comfort with using point-of-sale systems, email, and common office software for daily tasks.


• Ability to stand, walk the showroom, and occasionally assist with moving samples or displays, within reasonable accommodation.


• Previous experience in retail sales, design showrooms, or the building materials industry is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Base + commision. 401K with matching, health insurance- we pay approximately 70% of BCBS TX on behalf of the enployee.
