Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a Sales Assistant to be the go-to partner for internal and external customers, delivering exceptional service and fostering relationships.

You will be the central contact for the sales teams, streamlining communication and empowering collaboration across departments to drive success. This role supports the sales floor, processes bids and orders, and assists with installs and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years of sales or customer service in a retail or contractor environment.
• English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office application.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Must be detail-oriented, taking time to read/follow details of builders/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor research and study product information.
• Provide necessary point-of-sale information. Close sales.
• Enter bids/orders accurately, including pre-install measures; support outside sales teams.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and answer phones promptly.
• Collaborate with install team on order maintenance and follow-up scheduling.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Monitor Research and study product information
• Manage Provide necessary point-of-sale information. Close sales
• Support Accurately write and enter bids/orders, including pre-install measures. Support outside sales teams
• Assist Approach customers in a timely manner on the sales floor and promptly answer telephones
• Collaborate When applicable, support install team with order maintenance, and scheduling of follow up calls
