Job summary

Smith Douglas Homes in Raleigh, NC is seeking a New Home Sales Assistant to support the sales team in a fast-growing, family‑oriented homebuilding company.

You’ll work with experienced agents, gain coaching, and learn the full sales cycle from pricing and site visits to loan applications, with potential to advance to an On-Site New Home Sales Specialist and earn a six‑figure income through base pay plus commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in customer service or sales support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze customer needs and effectively communicate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Follow established administrative procedures to assist sales, closings and community management.
• Gain an understanding of new home prices, home site premiums and release of home sites.
• Coordinate set up of loan applications for prospects and monitor the loan process.
• Complete monthly competitive studies.
• Maintain upkeep of Sales Center, Model homes and Production Inventory homes.
• Demonstrate homes and home sites directly to potential buyers.
• Communicate website updates and needed changes to Marketing staff.
• Attend all Community Review meetings and Homeowner Events.
• Active involvement in community and professional organizations.
• Ensure daily marketing efforts are complete including signage, materials and website.

This is a full time role which pays an hourly rate plus commission.

Position Summary:

This role is perfect for applicants with previous sales experience who are looking to break into the highly rewarding new home sales industry. More than just an administrative support position, this is a structured career development opportunity designed to prepare high-performing individuals for promotion into an On-Site New Home Sales Specialist role with Smith Douglas Homes - a position with the potential to earn six-figure income through a combination of base compensation and performance-based commissions.

In this role, you'll be paired with successful Sales Agents who will provide personalized coaching, mentorship, and hands-on training as you develop the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to advance your career. By utilizing your organizational, customer service, and follow-up skills to support the Sales team, you'll gain firsthand exposure to every stage of the new home sales process while building a strong foundation for future success

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience with prospecting and lead generation techniques.
• Familiarity with sales processes and terminology.
• Previous experience in a retail or B2B sales environment.
• Knowledge of data entry and sales reporting tools.
