Gray’s Tree Service in Bessemer, AL seeks a Sales Arborist to guide residential and commercial customers in selecting tree and plant health care services. The role blends sales, on-site assessments, tailored proposals, and coordination with field teams to ensure quality service.

Ideal candidates bring home services experience and a drive to close sales while pursuing ISA Arborist certification. Familiarity with CRM and MS Office is valued; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in home services or related industry with ability to win business and meet sales goals.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to work toward ISA Certified Arborist certification.
• Willingness to learn CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred: prior sales experience in tree care or landscaping; knowledge of tree species, arboriculture, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture/Forestry/Horticulture.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and community engagement.
• Follow up with leads, present proposals, negotiate, and close sales.
• Visit properties to assess tree and plant health care needs and recommend services.
• Prepare clear, accurate estimates and tailored proposals for each property.
• Build lasting customer relationships for repeat business and referrals.
• Coordinate project details with field teams to support service delivery.
• Maintain customer information, proposals, and project updates in the CRM.
