Job summary

Kramer Tree Specialists in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced ISA Certified Sales Arborist who combines arboriculture expertise with a passion for helping clients protect and enhance landscapes.

This role operates as a trusted advisor to homeowners, property managers, municipalities, and businesses, building a book of business while delivering expert tree care recommendations in the field and in client proposals.

Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist certification (or able to obtain within 90 days).
• Minimum 2+ years of arboriculture experience.
• Proven sales or strong customer relationship skills.
• Strong knowledge of tree health, pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics.
• Ability to prepare estimates and develop client proposals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to network and develop new business opportunities.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in environmental field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients
• Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluate tree health and safety
• Diagnose tree and shrub health issues, pests, and diseases
• Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards
• Prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates for tree care services
• Present recommendations and educate clients on proper tree care
• Partner with production crews to ensure successful project execution
• Attend networking events and business development functions to generate new opportunities
• Consistently achieve sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service

We are seeking an experienced ISA Certified Sales Arborist who combines technical arboriculture expertise with a passion for helping clients protect and enhance their landscapes. Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: $55,000 - $125,000 annually
Compensation Type: Commission (earnings are uncapped)
Additional Compensation details: 100% commission position with estimated annual earnings of $55,000–$125,000 based on performance. Sales Arborists are eligible for a monthly recoverable draw (negotiable).

Sales Arborist Responsibilities:

Sales Arborists Qualifications:

• ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within 90 days)
• 2+ years of arboriculture experience
• Proven sales experience or strong customer relationship management skills
• Excellent knowledge of tree identification, plant health care, pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics
• Ability to prepare estimates and develop detailed client proposals
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable networking and developing new business opportunities
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Valid Illinois Driver's License with a safe driving record
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an environmental or related field (preferred)
