Job summary

Kramer Tree Specialists in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced Sales Arborist who combines technical arboriculture expertise with a passion for helping clients protect, enhance and experience the value of their trees.

This role is about becoming a trusted advisor to homeowners, commercial property managers, municipalities, and businesses by providing expert tree care recommendations while growing your own book of business, in a field-based, relationship-driven sales environment.

Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain certification within 90 days.
• 2+ years arboriculture experience.
• Proven sales experience or strong customer relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of tree identification, plant health care, pruning, removals, pests, diagnostics.
• Ability to prepare estimates and develop client proposals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Networking and developing new business opportunities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in environmental or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
• Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluate tree health and safety.
• Diagnose tree and shrub health issues, pests, and diseases.
• Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards.
• Prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates for tree care services.
• Present recommendations and educate clients on safe, professional tree care.
• Partner closely with production crews to ensure successful project execution.
• Attend networking events and business development functions to generate new opportunities.
• Consistently achieve sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service.
