Role Description The Sales Application Engineer – Data Centers role is a full-time, on-site position based in Milwaukee, WI. This role focuses on supporting data center customers by providing technical application expertise for Regal Rexnord products and solutions, particularly in airflow, motion control, and power transmission. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating customer requirements, developing tailored proposals, and preparing technical quotations that align with data center performance, efficiency, and reliability goals. The Sales Application Engineer collaborates with sales teams, product management, and engineering to optimize solutions, support product selection, and address customer technical inquiries. The role also involves presenting solution concepts to customers, contributing to product demonstrations and training, and gathering voice-of-customer feedback to inform future product and solution development.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, with experience applying engineering principles to data center or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and performance data, and translate them into practical solutions and clear customer proposals.
• Experience working with data center systems or related equipment such as HVAC, power distribution, or motion control technologies is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated customer-facing skills, including consultative selling, technical presentations, and effective collaboration with sales and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with standard engineering and office software tools; familiarity with CAD, modeling, or configuration tools is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Willingness to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI and travel occasionally to customer locations and company facilities as needed.
