Job summary

A leading robotics company in Michigan is seeking a Technical Sales Support intern to assist the engineering team. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in engineering or technical disciplines, possessing proficient computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Responsibilities include managing robot inventory and supporting engineering projects. The role is aimed at building a diverse workforce and considers all qualified applicants regardless of background.

Qualifications

• Must be a Junior or Senior student in Fall 2026.
• Experience in technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the company's product line.
• Manage the Sales/Marketing Show robot inventory.
• Configure and start up robots 'Out of the Box'.
• Support the engineering team on a project-by-project basis.
• Communicate and work with customers.
• Support cross training requests from other departments if available.

Job description

Receives exposure to the field of Technical Sales Support (TSS) and Sales Engineering functions through the interaction with the SAE's team, robot inventory, robot model analysis, robot programming and troubleshooting, MS Office 365 assignments which support engineering as well as interfacing with customers.

NOTE: Preference is a student who is Junior or senior status in Fall 2026. Must also be local to our facility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• One year towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline or two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires proficient computer skills (MS Office 365), strong interpersonal skills, and programming experience.
