Job summary

Hertz Local Edition in Hayward, CA seeks a Sales and Service Specialist to support Lyft/Uber drivers with fast, friendly rentals. You will help create reservations, process rentals and ensure clean, safe vehicles are ready for pickup, while delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will also handle Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program inquiries, maximize revenue opportunities, and assist with billing questions, maintaining Hertz brand standards and excellent

• Ensure vehicles are prepared for pickup: check for damage, clean interior/exterior, and fuel and fluid levels.

Job description

Sales and Service Specialist, TNC is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team. As a brand ambassador, the Sales and Service Specialist will be facilitating the fastest, easiest, and most valued rental car experience to Lyft and/or Uber drivers.

• Ensure optimal operational efficacies to provide customers with the best rental car experience
• Provide assistance creating a rental car reservation, processing rentals and providing clean and safe vehicles to our customers.
• Assist customers with various post rental inquiries that involve the rental and billing process
• Work in a fast-paced environment, while providing helpful customer service that enhances the customer’s rental experience.
• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental car extensions, roadside assistance questions and more.
• Effectively communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and Procedures.
• Maximize revenue opportunities with customers by actively soliciting business after customer inquiry by overcoming customer objections.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared for customer pick-up, including checking vehicles for damage, cleaning interior (windows, door jams, trunk, vacuum, etc.) and exterior (wash) of vehicle, filling gasoline tanks and checking fill levels of all fluids.

What You’ll Get:

• The hourly rate / wage for this role is $22.00
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime)
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 40 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)

Professional Experience:
