JOB SUMMARY

The Sales and Service Expert (SSE) provides an outstanding sales and service experience to all guests and members. They promote membership, fitness, and retail products and services, building relationships and emphasizing the value of 24 Hour Fitness offerings. The SSE focuses on behaviors that drive member acquisition and retention, engaging guests and members to meet sales revenue goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience and New Member On-boarding
  • Execute the CARE sales model, relating how our products/services meet fitness needs.
  • Tour potential members, describe facilities, and register all guests digitally.
  • Communicate membership and fitness offers clearly using provided tools.
  • Enroll guests professionally, adhering to Membership Agreement Procedures.
  • On-board new members and assist with retention activities.
  • Achieve or exceed personal and team sales goals.
Prospecting and Lead Generation
  • Obtain external leads via community outreach and promotions.
  • Generate internal leads through referrals, guest passes, and calls.
  • Set appointments and follow up on leads using a Lead Management System.
  • Promote marketing campaigns and track activities to meet productivity goals.
Member Experience
  • Partner with the Sales and Service Manager to provide a member-centric experience.
  • Ensure members receive friendly service and engage with fitness offerings.
  • Maintain relationships, address questions, and connect members with resources.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming club environment.
VARIABLE COMPENSATION

Eligible for sales commissions based on performance, rewarding success and contribution.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Sales and Service Manager; interacts with members, prospects, and vendors. No direct reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong sales practices and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the fitness industry and customer service.
  • Proficiency with computers and POS systems; membership software preferred.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented.
Educational & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED; CPR/AED certification within 60 days; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience in fitness or retail, 1-2 years in service sales preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to work on club floors, demonstrate fitness activities, communicate telephonically, and operate systems.
  • Work may include extended hours, weekends, holidays, and exposure to loud environments.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

Minimal travel for training and lead generation.
