Commercial Service Account Manager

Role Overview

The Commercial Service Account Manager will be responsible for pursuing opportunities for service agreements, quick turn projects, and large modernization projects to keep our customers operating effectively.

This role suits individuals who excel at building relationships, provide outstanding customer service, and enjoy working with cross-functional teams. It is ideal for those adept at assessing both immediate and future customer needs.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Sell the full portfolio of Carrier HVAC Service products and solutions (e.g., service agreements, repairs, modernizations).
  2. Create and maintain sales territory and account plans.
  3. Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing relationships and opportunities.
  4. Promote Carrier's value proposition by linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions.
  5. Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities, and pipeline opportunities.
  6. Attract new customers and build share value with existing customers.
  7. Identify and access new service agreement opportunities with current and prospective customers.
  8. Respond to repair opportunities promptly.
  9. Establish credibility through knowledge of Carrier products/solutions.
  10. Develop and sustain strong customer relationships.
  11. Articulate the value of Carrier’s offerings and their relevance to customer needs.
  12. Detect the customer’s buying stage and tailor selling strategies accordingly.
  13. Deliver effective presentations and communicate clearly.
  14. Prioritize the best sales opportunities.
  15. Respond promptly to customer requirements.
  16. Secure bookings and orders efficiently.
  17. Consistently meet sales metrics and annual targets.
  18. Negotiate service agreement renewals effectively.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of Commercial HVAC sales experience
  • Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work on roofs/platforms
  • Pass a MVR background check
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the territory
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical environments
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience selling directly to end users and service agreements
  • Ability to cross-sell and upsell within existing customer base
  • Team-oriented and dynamic environment adaptability
  • Proactive in selling preventative repair and upgrade packages
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects
