Job summary

Tate Boys Tire & Auto Service is hiring a Service Advisor to be the face of the shop, connecting customers with solutions and ensuring their vehicles stay safe and reliable.

You will greet customers, document needs, review service history, inspect vehicles, and prepare quotes. The role requires strong customer service, a valid driver’s license, and availability five days per week including Saturdays (Sundays off). The position offers earnings potential around $60K–$80K per year with Sundays off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers in person and by phone using professional standards.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and thoroughly document needs.
• Review service history, inspect vehicles, and verify repair requirements.
• Recommend products and services confidently and clearly.
• Prepare quotes, timelines, and repair orders.
• Communicate status updates throughout the day.
• Review completed work, explain warranties, and handle checkout.
• Follow up on declined services and completed repairs to ensure satisfaction.
• Track returns, warranty parts, and core parts for each customer.

COMPENSATION: $70,000-$100,000/ year consisting of hourly + commission

What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the face of the shop—connecting customers with solutions and ensuring their vehicles stay safe and reliable.

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Warmly greeting customers in person and by phone using our professional standards
• Listening carefully to customer concerns and thoroughly documenting their needs
• Reviewing service history, inspecting vehicles, and verifying repair requirements
• Recommending products and services confidently and clearly
• Accurately preparing quotes, timelines, and repair orders
• Communicating status updates throughout the day
• Reviewing completed work, explaining warranties, and handling checkout
• Following up on declined services and completed repairs to ensure satisfaction
• Tracking all returns, warranty parts, and core parts for each customer
• Supporting the team with other duties as needed

What You Bring to the Team

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior experience as a Service Advisor highly preferred but not required
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a process-driven environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays (but never Sundays!)
