Job summary

Tate Boys Tire & Auto Service is seeking a Service Advisor to be the face of the shop, greeting customers, documenting needs, and coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs. You will connect customers with solutions and help ensure their vehicles stay safe and reliable.

Daily duties include studying service history, inspecting vehicles, providing accurate quotes, and communicating progress to customers. The role offers a competitive pay package with Sundays off and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior Service Advisor experience preferred but not required.
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a process-driven environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to work five days per week, including Saturdays ( Sundays off ).

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers in person and by phone using professional standards.
• Listen to customer concerns and thoroughly document needs.
• Review service history, inspect vehicles, and verify repair requirements.
• Recommend products and services clearly and confidently.
• Prepare quotes, timelines, and repair orders accurately.
• Communicate status updates throughout the day.
• Explain warranties and handle checkout after work is completed.
• Follow up on declined services and completed repairs to ensure satisfaction.
• Track returns, warranty parts and core parts for each customer.
• Support the team with other duties as needed.

COMPENSATION: $70,000-$100,000/ year consisting of hourly + commission

What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the face of the shop—connecting customers with solutions and ensuring their vehicles stay safe and reliable.

• Reviewing service history, inspecting vehicles, and verifying repair requirements
• Recommending products and services confidently and clearly
• Accurately preparing quotes, timelines, and repair orders
• Communicating status updates throughout the day
• Reviewing completed work, explaining warranties, and handling checkout
• Following up on declined services and completed repairs to ensure satisfaction
• Tracking all returns, warranty parts, and core parts for each customer
• Supporting the team with other duties as needed

What You Bring to the Team

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior experience as a Service Advisor highly preferred but not required
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a process-driven environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays (but never Sundays!)
