Job summary

A-1 Pawnbrokers at Laurel is seeking a friendly, motivated Pawnbroker/Sales Associate to help customers with loans, sales, and purchases while building skills in sales, negotiation, and service. This full‑time position offers coaching and growth within a large, established company.

You will welcome customers, explain product options, and work toward store goals with the team, while learning the ins and outs of pawn transactions and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, retail, or sales (preferred but not required—training provided).
• Friendly, approachable, and able to connect with people from all walks of life.
• Confidence in negotiating and problem-solving.
• Motivated to reach goals while always putting the customer first.
• Comfortable handling cash and doing basic math.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with loans, purchases, and sales.
• Build relationships and provide excellent service to new and returning customers.
• Help customers understand product options and make confident decisions.
