Job summary

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Sales Agronomist I to grow and manage a defined territory, attract new customers, and assist with product selection based on agronomic needs. You will develop profitable customer relationships and collaborate with the team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic plans.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, travel within the territory, and knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems is expected, with an agronomy degree preferred.

Role Overview:

The Sales Agronomist I will be responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assisting customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships.

What You Bring to the Role:

• 1+ year of experience.
• Ability to work independently with manager’s supervision.
• Willingness to travel throughout territory and to periodic sales meetings.
• Knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers (dry and liquid).
• Proficient with computers utilizing Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
• Agronomy/Agribusiness degree is preferred.

• Utilize Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools to manage customer relationships, sales activities, and territory communications.
• Apply data, reporting tools, and sales insights to support forecasting, territory planning, and informed decision-making.
• Demonstrate adaptability in learning and using emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity and customer engagement.

Compensation and Benefits:

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $46,300 - $61,770. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
