Job summary

Walstrom Marine, Inc. in Harbor Springs is seeking a warranty processing and accounting professional to support our growing service and sales teams. You will handle warranty claims, code them accurately, and coordinate documentation for manufacturers.

The role emphasizes cross-department collaboration, attention to detail, and timely processing in a busy, in-person environment at our Harbor Springs location.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems (e.g., IDS).
• Effective communication and customer service abilities to support cross-departmental collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warranty support to new boat sales customers and collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, reconcile, and submit warranty claims to manufacturers for payment; ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
• Accurately code warranty claims using labor operations codes; review and dispute denied or rejected claims as needed.
• Process repair orders related to factory recalls on dealership-owned vessels.
• Maintain records of warranty payments, credit memos, and ongoing claim activity.
• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for the status of new boat deliveries.
• Coordinate the process for newly sold boats from order confirmation through customer delivery.
• Coordinate the commissioning process for new boats prior to customer delivery.
• Assist in warranty documentation and manufacturer-required paperwork.
• Assist the sales team in presenting accurate quotes to customers and using IDS effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

Walstrom Marine is looking for a candidate with experience in warranty processing and accounting principles to join our Harbor Springs team!

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday availability required during summer months
• This is an in person, onsite position based out of our Harbor Springs location.
