Sales Account Manager - Flavors - Remote
Position Summary: The Nutrition Division of Archer Daniels Midland Co. is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of customer relationship management.
Individual will be responsible for selling food flavorings, specialty ingredients and complete formula solutions from the ADM Nutrition portfolio to customers in North America. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing long-term relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Monitor client satisfaction and work to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and product offerings.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Mentor and support junior sales team members, sharing best practices and providing guidance.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and account information.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, account status, and market trends for senior management.
- Demonstrate strong organization, time management and communication skills.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in customer facing activity with focus on account and business opportunity management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in specialty food ingredient sales, business to business within CPG & Foodservice channel.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, SAP
