About the Role

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are market leaders in high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Strategic Market (Networking/IT Datacom). Our products enable the electronics revolution and are key for major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are seeking a Sales Account Executive to join our West Coast team based in the Bay Area.

Summary

Our success depends on solving cutting-edge problems related to high bandwidth signal transmission. We value relationships with our clients and rely on our Sales and Field Applications Engineering Teams to foster ongoing partnerships. As a Sales Account Executive, you will interface with external customers and internal teams to promote Amphenol products within an assigned territory, focusing on OEM customers and distributors through design win activities and channel management. You will develop strategies to differentiate our products, expand our customer base, and increase penetration at existing accounts, including key global accounts. This role offers insight into Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Product Development functions.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide sales leadership and collaborate with Field Applications Engineers and Business Units.
  2. Promote and sell Amphenol products to existing customers and develop new prospects.
  3. Manage large OEM accounts and drive activity across a global sales channel.
  4. Coordinate our Networking, IT, and Datacom strategies across North America, interfacing with sales reps, distributors, and international teams.
  5. Identify interconnect opportunities and collaborate with customer engineering teams to design in new products.
  6. Develop and implement sales plans and growth strategies for your territory and clients.
  7. Meet and exceed sales quotas through new design wins and channel management.
  8. Motivate customers to increase product content in their designs.
  9. Support technical aspects of the sales cycle, including marketing support for product development.
  10. Resolve complex interconnect issues and technical inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  11. Track orders and revenue, and build strong customer relationships by providing timely information.
  12. Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition.
  13. Conduct regular customer visits and travel as required.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  2. Business/Marketing aptitude and knowledge of the interconnect solutions industry; lighting experience is a plus.
  3. At least 3 years of field sales and applications experience, preferably in interconnect, passive, or electromechanical components.
  4. Understanding of international business practices is advantageous.
