Job Summary

The Salad/Prep Cook at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is responsible for the proper preparation and execution of lunch and dinner menu items. Successful applicants should have mastered basic food preparation skills and be able to work efficiently in a team to deliver high-quality dishes. This role involves preparing menu items with an emphasis on fresh, farm-to-table produce, home-cooked desserts, and other culinary needs. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential to support management and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepare cold and hot menu items to high standards
  • Work efficiently under time constraints with a positive attitude
  • Properly store foods, following safety protocols
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards daily
  • Use approved food production standards to ensure quality and portion control
  • Model teamwork and provide excellent guest service
  • Assist line cooks as needed, including operating fry stations and retrieving food
  • Prepare aesthetically pleasing dishes, salads, and desserts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
