Description

The Salad Cook prepares food items under the direction of the store manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Uses oven and stove to prepare food.
  2. Cleans produce.
  3. Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, etc.) to specifications within a specified time limit.
  4. Follows food and knife safety procedures.
  5. Assists with receiving deliveries, stocking ingredients, and rotating products.
  6. Performs deep cleaning.
  7. Tracks waste items and maintains specified food portions.
  8. Familiar with current and new recipes.
  9. Uses recipe builders and specifications to ensure product consistency.

Secondary Functions

Custodial duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or pursuing same.
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably at least 3 months' experience in a food prep facility; restaurant or retail experience preferred.
  • Must understand English (read, speak, write).
