Job Description

The Salad Cook prepares food items under the direction of the store manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Uses oven and stove to prepare food.
  2. Cleans produce.
  3. Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, etc.) to specifications within a specified time limit.
  4. Understanding and following food and knife safety procedures.
  5. Assists with receiving deliveries, stocking ingredients, and rotating products.
  6. Performs deep cleaning duties.
  7. Tracks waste items and maintains specified food portions.
  8. Maintains familiarity with new and current recipes.
  9. Uses recipe builders and specifications provided daily to ensure consistency of served products.
Secondary Functions

Custodial duties as required.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or in pursuit of the same.
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR according to CBC standards, and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance (current or when eligible to drive for CBC).
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably at least 3 months' experience in a food preparation environment; restaurant or retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand, read, speak, and write English.
