Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a full-time Cold Food (Salad) position at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT. The role runs Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm with a pay rate of $18–$20 per hour. Previous high-volume experience preferred and training is available.

Qualifications

• Previous high volume experience preferred.
• Must follow HACCP and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily production schedule and prep needs with Chef.
• Prepares sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads per standards.
• Stocks and replenishes deli products following merchandising guidelines.
• Transports pans, kettles and trays to and from workstations.
• Stores food in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans and sanitizes counters, surfaces, and refrigeration units.
• Sets machine thickness on slicing equipment and operates it safely.
• Works with coworkers to meet service standards and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and complies with safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
