Il Forno Pizza is hiring a qualified line cook to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. Ideal candidates should possess basic knife skills and experience in a fast-paced scratch kitchen. You'll prepare food items in a sanitary manner, follow recipes, and maintain safety.

Pay starts at $16+/hour with bi-weekly payments, and you’ll enjoy employee discounts at three different restaurants. This job is full-time or part-time, with Sundays and Mondays off, ideal for those looking to further a career in cooking.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a scratch kitchen preferred.
• Ability to keep cool under pressure.
• Minimum one year experience in a fast-paced scratch kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain station practicing good safety and sanitation.
• Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Job description

Il Forno Pizza is looking for qualified applicants for our Salad / Appetizerline cookposition. Experience working in a scratch kitchen is preferred.

Il Forno is a wood-fired pizza restaurant with a focus on local produce. All food is prepped in house. Charcuterie is hung and cured on site.

Qualified applicants should posses basic knife skills,be able to follow given directions as assigned, the ability to keep their cool under pressure, and ideally a minimum of one year experience in a fast paced scratch kitchen.
