Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an MRI Radiologic Technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will assist in educating students and provide patient care across diverse age groups.

Required ARRT radiography and MRI certifications, current BLS, and MA licensure, with 1–3 years of related experience preferred. Evening shift with rotating weekends at Saint Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA.

• AS degree or certificate program in Radiography or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner following approved protocols to produce diagnostic images
• Assist in orientation/clinical education of students per guidelines
• Provide appropriate patient care across all ages (neonatal to geriatric)
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold organizational values

SUMMARY:Provides health care services, applying operational procedures of equipment being used to produce detailed images of the patient to assist in diagnosis or treatmentPrepares and operates scanner utilizing approved protocols and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitionerProvide appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols, equipment operation, positioning techniques, patient transfers, good communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty, weekend rotationsInterest in participating in orientation/clinical education of students in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for MRI and radiologic technology program(s).One to three years related experience required.

EDUCATION:

Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography, and Magnetic Resonance ImagingCurrent BLS certification requiredI.V. Certification preferredMassachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) licenseAssociate in Science Degree, Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Accredited Radiography Program (School of Radiological Technology) or equivalent

Pay Range:

$41.08-$60.53
